Description: This vintage / antique wooden barrel tag is a wonderful survivor from The National Distillers Company. It is made of brass with the #63-815. I believe it dates to the early 1920's. A super rare whiskey barrel tag! National Distillers was created during prohibition from American Medicinal Spirits, which was formed from the old whiskey trust. ND had some of the most sought after early bourbons, such as: Old Crow Old Taylor Old Grand Dad Old Overholt Sunnybrook Deluxe Bourbon sales declined in the late 70's and 80's and the company was eventually sold to Jim Beam.
