Description: Nachtmann Dakapo Champagne Glass (es) Flutes GermanyPurchased at the Nachtmann factory in West Germany in the 1970s. According to the original owner, the pattern name is Dakapo (also the name of a German grape variety created in the early 1970s). Many of the Nachtmann patterns have been distributed by companies such as Gorham, Reidel, and Libbey, so it’s possible that this has a different name under a different maker, but I don’t know what it is. This design has large, long cut panels and an angled stem that flairs near the top.7-7/8” tall, 2-1/8” diameter at the opening. These glasses have been in storage for a while and will need to be cleaned prior to use. No chips or cracks, except as noted below. Also, please note that the picture shows an etched “N”. There is only one of these – a Condition 2.Condition 1: Very good condition with little, if any, evidence of use.Condition 2: A light scratch or two, an area with light wear, and/or light wear around the perimeter of the foot from storage.Condition 3: As Condition 2 and a shallow nick on the foot, which does not affect the shape, as it is on the underside of the edge.Condition 4: As Condition 2 but there is a bubble on the surface, at or about 1/4” below the rim (fourth photo). It looks like a divot and can be felt.Note: Blown glass may have variations to the glass color, cut, base diameter, stem thickness, and thickness of the sides of the glass, and there may be a tiny (or not so tiny) bubble. For these champagne flutes, this is demonstrated by the variation to the size of the area between the bowl and the stem. These characteristics are typical of handcrafted fine crystal and not considered flaws. The allowable range of size is 1/8”. I will wrap the stems with cardboard for extra protection. The Fine PrintShipping Rate: This listing has a flat shipping rate for one piece, with an "each additional piece" price if you buy more than one (calculated automatically). My “each additional piece” prices are determined by how much it will cost to ship the items at least halfway across the country. I am in the Pacific Northwest. If you are anywhere west of the Rockies, contact me with your “ship to” zip code – your shipping may be less. Also, if you purchase items from more than one of my listings at the same time, use Add to Cart for the quantity you want from each listing and then wait for me to send you an invoice with combined shipping. Or, you can place the items in your cart and click "Request Total." Don't forget to change the quantity first if you want more than one of something.Shipping Method: I ship by USPS or FedEx Home (Ground), depending on the weight, destination and value of the box. I always refund excess shipping via PayPal. If you select USPS Parcel Select, I may change it to FedEx Home, because that method can often be faster and includes insurance. You will not need to sign for the box, unless you contact me ahead of time to request that service. I am pleased to ship to APO addresses. If you are concerned about the shipping cost, please contact me before agreeing to purchase.“Ship To” Address: To avoid shipping delays and possible added expense, make sure your address is up to date with PayPal. Also, I am happy to ship to a third party, but if you would like me to ship to an address other than your own, please be sure to add that address to your PayPal account as an alternate address BEFORE shopping.Local Pickup: If you are interested in a local pickup, please contact me before purchasing so I can add that choice to the shipping options.International Buyers: All fees incurred in your country are your responsibility. I will not mark an item as a gift on the Customs form.I ship my items in corrugated cardboard boxes, with packing peanuts and bubble wrap.Payment must be received within 4 days.Returns: If you are not pleased with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days in “as sold” condition. Please contact me first before starting the return process so I can have the chance to resolve the issue before you ship and to send you a prepaid shipping label if necessary.
