The world renowned company Mottehedeh created this fine reproduction of a delicate Creamware Pot de Creme or Dessert Cup from examples in the Louvre's Musée Des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. This creamy white floral design was very much in vogue towards the end of the reign of Louis XVI. The notable ceramics factory of the original lidded cup was under the patronage of Louis-Philippe-Joseph Duc D’Orleans and was located on Rue Amelot in Pont-Aux-Choux. Condition: Very Good with some crazing if looking very closely. Please see the pictures. In keeping true to form this creamy white colored reproduction is made with a delicate rosebud and leaf finial. It is in very good gently used condition with no chips nor cracks.
