This listing is for the Range Buddy model, 3/4" stock, hex socket head push bolt, hex key included. It is intended for adjustment of the front sights that are in good condition, not seized in place or damaged. However, instructions are included that will help assist in the process and will allow adjustment of close to 98% of rifles. If you cannot adjust your sight with this tool, then your rifle should be taken to a qualified gunsmith for removal and repair of the front sight. If you are wanting to completely removed the sight for cleaning, repair or upgrading to a Smith's Sights adjustable front sight, please note in the comments and I will include the extended push bolts needed for complete removal of the sight. Attempting to remove the sight solely with the adjusting bolt itself will result in damage to the push bolt and possibly to the tool itself. We start with 6061 cold-rolled tempered stock made right here in Missouri, no imported metal here, and ALL our stock is purchased with the sole purpose of use in our sight tools, we don't use scrap left over from other paying customers products in our production. Our tools are precision machined to the exact specifications that rigorous testing and research has proven to fit both the 1945 and newer M44 as well as the Chinese Type 53. If your M44 has a circular sight base around the barrel, this is NOT the tool that you need, your will require our 3844 tool. If your M44 or T53 has the large "U-shaped" sight base, then you need this one, our M44/T53 tool. Our push bolts are sourced from a racing supply company and actually meet the standards for use in NASCAR. Before being installed, each is trued and the ends squared to make certain it meets the sight perfectly to make sure they don't damage your collectible rifle. NO need to remove the cleaning rod either, and you can also use the tool to completely remove the front sight for cleaning or installation of a premium front sight. Once all inspections are done, each tool is given a satin finish to provide an even gripping surface, then bagged in a zip-lock type bag, along with the needed hex wrench and step-by-step instructions.
