Description: Morrisonite Jasper polished slab with rare silver pyrite mass and banding containing heavy speckles .The silver pyrite banding runs along the arched top of the grey lavender area ( also has speckle's of silver pyrite throughout) on bottom above the white rhyolite,Best seen in pics 3,4,5. The mass of silver pyrite is vary apparent in several of the photos. Quite rare to see this much pyrite in jasper. Super example of a rarely seen mineral (pyrite) in a nicely patterned morrisonite jasper polished slab specimen. Size is 2.85" x 2.31" x 4.4 mm thick. All photos taken dry outdoors on a sunny day,pics 3,4,5 in shade to better show pyrite, and last pic shows cracks in red and pyrite speckles throughout the blue area with mass of pyrite circled in blue.Some camera reflection present. All lapidary material is created by mother nature and in most cases has fractures,vugs,pockets,pits, variable areas of hardness,as well as other imperfections.
