This give you increased sharpness and also much better low light performance. I have a Sony a7Riii that has this same conversion (reason I’m selling this one) and it has become my go to camera for shooting at night in clubs and restaurants.Please note: the only minus you can expect from a conversion is that the Phase Detect AF no longer functions but the Contrast Detect AF does continue to work. All other features continue to function as expected, such as focus peaking, the zebra function etc. I use this with manual focus lens. I think of these cameras as the poor man’s Leica Monochrome. The black and White images are truly remarkable.
