Description: Selling this antique MINIATURE or SALESMAN SAMPLE Blue & White Salt Glazed Stoneware SHOE. It is not marked or signed. I believe it was made in the Midwest late 1800s or early 1900s. Maybe made by White Hall or Red Wing but I can't say for sure. Measures approx. 5" long x 2-3/8" dia. at back of shoe. I have not cleaned this early piece. The new owner can have that honor. CONDITION: This old piece is in amazing condition. Minor roughness / glaze flakes on the bottom edges (mainly on the front part of the shoe) - some of these are mold imperfections which occurred during the making. That is it! NO CRACKS, HAIRLINE CRACKS, OR REPAIRS. It has the usual manufacturing characteristics found on OLD salt glaze / stoneware (i.e., pits, pops, glaze skips, rubs, runs, bubbles, glaze separations, staining, crazing, and wrinkles & lines in glaze).
