Description: A framed printed illustration from an antique 1898 copy of “Gems of Art” by Cassell, ready to hang. This black and white drawing by Lewis F. Day shows details of a 13th century gothic vine frieze from Notre Dame. Illustration is framed in a miniature vintage 1930’s wooden art deco frame that measures approx. 5” x 3” x 0.5”. Frame is handmade from the 1920’s/‘30’s and painted silver over dark grey hatched details. Paint is worn off at the edges. Frame is in good antique/ vintage condition and had been reinforced at all connecting edges on reverse with wood glue. Maintains original nails and textured paper back panel.
