Description: The latest in blue novelty phalaenopsis breeding originating from the famous Mituo Orchid Nursery in Taiwan. Rare and hard to come by. This is a stem prop and this cultivar is an AM/AOS award winner. Recently re-potted in July 2024 in a 3.5 inch side slit repotme plastic pot. I used a combo of bark, leca, perlite, NZ tree fern fiber, moss and added some Osmocote slow release fertilizer. It is rooting well with new roots growing. Leaves are husky and the plant will only get better with time and age. The flowers are just so dark and purple along with fragrance, beautiful shiny foliage and a bit of variegation as I grow my phalaenopsis under LED grow lights. This is a warm to hot grower. It will not tolerate wet and cold roots at the same time especially during winter. Either sit it on a heat mat or place inside greenhouse or grow tent to maintain humidity and warmth. This is an expensive orchid so please purchase only if you are experienced with growing these novelty and polychilos types of phalaenopsis. Photos #1-2 are flowers photos from previous flowerings to show you that the orchid can quickly become multi floral looking when there are 2 or more spikes at the same time.. The remaining photos is the actual orchid that you will receive and were taken on 9/12/2024. Currently there is one old spike with 1 flower. Shipping is Mon-Tues by USPS Priority Mail within the USA. My orchids are shipped on the dry side to avoid any root rot issues. I don't guarantee the arrival of the spike or flower intact. Temperature changes will cause spike to yellow and shipping mishaps can happen. Once the package leaves my hands, I no longer have control.
