Description: Up for sale is a Marklin HO 2874 BR E63, 125th Anniversary Electric Train Set, LN/Box/Analog/Rare. This 125th Anniversary Electric Train Set includes the Electric Locomotive BR 63 and 3 authentic Container Trailers. This set is a reproduction of the trainset series build by Marklin from 1958 to 1974. It was produced in very limited numbers during Marklin's 125th Anniversary in 1984. The Electric Locomotive E63 was produced by AEG around 1935 and was retired by the DB end of 1979. This type of container was invented to be unloaded from its railroad trailer directly onto a special truck in order to safe time for reloading. This system was considered to be the start of modern container logistic. I tested the Locomotive on my analog trainset, and it did run smooth and well in both directions including the light function. The trainset shows no visible signs from previous use for the naked eye and comes in a like new condition including the original box and instructions.
