In Los Angeles, Warstrike rescues a client’s daughter from kidnappers. Afterward, he goes home to find Mantra seemingly waiting for him. When Mantra tries to seduce him, he realizes something is wrong, and Mantra changes into a purple shapeshifting mass. Notch appears, wanting the real Mantra’s civilian identity, and knocks Warstrike out. Lukasz arrives at work and sees all his coworkers as Warstrike. After changing into Mantra, he goes to Warstrike's apartment to investigate and is ambushed by Notch’s men. After subduing them, Lukasz finds one has a flyer for a Renaissance faire and deduces that is where Notch is holding Warstrike. Mantra arrives at the faire and sees a woman who looks like Lukasz’s late wife Marinna. When Mantra approaches her, the woman reveals herself as the shapeshifter a.k.a. Guise. Guise leaves, and Notch’s men surround Mantra. He takes them down one by one until they suddenly vanish, teleported away by Notch. While Notch berates them for being bested by a woman, Warstrike breaks free. Mantra mystically tracks Guise to Notch’s tent and finds two Warstrikes fighting each other. He asks them what his name is, the real Warstrike calls him Eden, and he blasts the impostor. After Notch teleports away with his men, Warstrike pretends to pass out and stop breathing. When Mantra starts CPR, Warstrike kisses him, but he pulls away. While they squabble, a faire participant enters and gives Mantra a trophy for “best costume”. He takes it and leaves with Warstrike chasing after him while Guise gets away. Meanwhile, Boneyard imprisons Notch in Guise’s old cell for failing to capture Mantra.
