It is denser and stronger than any of the other commercially sold rattans. All rattan is premium straightened rattan. Typically, this is about 36". Longer sticks are provided in our auction for taller fighters or those wishing to trim their own down. We can offer longer lengths than those shown as available in this listing, but shipping will typically start at $20 as a base so multiple staves will make your purchase more cost effective. Also quite nice for walking canes. 1" - 1 1/4" - Martial - These are the sizes that are often used for unarmored Martial Arts. This is below the required diameter for SCA heavy list. 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" - Standard SCA - A light to medium weight stick intended for normal fighting shots in the SCA. 1 1/2" - 1 3/4" - Heavy - A medium to heavy weight stick used for highly authoritative shots in the SCA. 1 3/4" - 2" - Log - Specialty weight that is more than typical for rattan combat.
