Description: This is a listing for a Single Rainbow Kribensis (Pelvicachromis Pulcher) Male Dwarf Cichlid! These are beautiful fish that truly live up to their name, having almost all the colors of the rainbow somewhere on their body! They are hardy fish and quite easy to keep so they are perfect for beginner or experienced aquarists alike! They are also very easy to breed so they make a great gateway fish into the world of breeding! Not to mention how full of personality they are; they will make a great addition to almost any tank! Rainbow Kribs require a standard tropical water setup. Recommended ph is between 7-8 and temp between 76-79 degrees F. I have raised mine at 78 degrees with a ph of 7.6, so they are more likely to do well in similar waters. However, as they are still not fully grown they are likely to be able to adapt to a bit different parameters if yours are different! They are a relatively peaceful species, doing well in community tanks. Their temperament is moderate however, as they get very territorial and aggressive when breeding and raising their young. If you provide an area of the tank dedicated to them, they will likely chase other tank mates away when breeding, but shouldn't interfere with other areas of the tank. Watching these fish parent their young is an incredible experience!Males grow to be about 3-4 inches when full-grown and require a minimum tank size of 20 gallons for a pair. They take all kinds of food, pellets, flakes, frozen, and live and have been raised on all of the above! My pair always have a disproportionate number of males to females so I have lots of extra beautiful males looking for good homes! They are all old enough that they should be ready to begin pairing off and mating as well.-All fish are shipped via USPS Priority Mail (you can upgrade to Fedex 2Day in options if you'd like) in insulated boxes with a heat pack if necessary. -I only ship out on Mondays & Tuesdays to lessen the chances of your fish getting delayed in the mail, and to get them to you ASAP!-If the weather in your area has lows below freezing and/or highs below 40 on the days of transit, I will delay shipping until the weather is warmer.-Fish are shipped in breather bags, so please do NOT float the bags in your tank, so the fish have as much available oxygen as possible! DOA Policy: In the unlikely occurrence that your fish arrives DOA, please simply take at least 2 pictures of the UNOPENED bag showing the dead fish (and any alive) within 2 hours of the first delivery attempt and I will be happy to either replace them or refund you.
