Description: This 3D printed air box replaces the factory air box in the Classic or Classic II. It mounts a standard 80x25mm fan for improved airflow and reduced noise. In addition to the bottom vents, this air box also draws air in from the front of the case. It directs air toward the analog board and over the logic board as well. WARNING: Opening any CRT Mac involves the risk of a potentially lethal shock. Perform this installation at your own risk. Note:Fan is not included - Recommended fan: Noctua NF-R8Color variesMaterial is either ABS or PETG Installation - These instructions assume the case shell has been removed and the computer is unplugged and in a safe/discharged state:Place the Mac face-down on a soft, non-marring surface. Remove logic board.Remove drive cage (4 screws).Use a long flat screwdriver or chisel to carefully shear off the melted-over pegs securing the factory air box to the chassis. Disconnect the 60mm fan from the analog board and remove the factory air box.Install the drive cage, omitting the left-most screw (when viewing the bottom of the chassis with the Mac face down).Prepare the 80mm fan wiring to mate with the 2-pin header on the analog board. Press the fan into the airbox, exhaust side in. This will require slight flexing of the air box. Optionally route the wiring through one of the logic board vents in the air box. The fan frame should rest on the four internal posts when fully seated. Install the air box in your Mac. The final drive cage screw secures the air box and drive cage.Install the logic board.Connect all cables.Install case shell.Power on and confirm airflow.
