Description: This is an unusual item. A ceremonial key to the city. A large cast English brass skeleton key. This dates to around 1900. In the early part of the 20th century these keys were presented to individuals in English Towns and cities who had made a contribution to their town, usually to local celebrities and artists and actors. Length is 9 and a quarter inches. An original item, this has age related wear with tarnish to the brass and marks and dings in places. Please see pictures.
