You also needed to input spells directly from the physical manual, which creates an immersive feeling, like you're imputing forgotten knowledge while also acting as a form of copy protection. It's also the first King's Quest game where you don't play as Graham, featuring a more involved plot about escaping from the clutches of your master. The game is a fair bit more difficult than previous games, but for the dedicated adventure game fan, it's an incredibly impressive title.
