The sterling bezel opens up so you can take off the pendant and wear it on a chain (does not include a chain). The closure is magnetic, so it is easy to use. You can wear the strand by itself also. The strand has an adjustable hook and chain clasp that adjusts from 18-19 1/2". The beads on the strand are also crazy lace agate and the smaller beads are 7mm while the large ones are 25mm.
