JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE Axis: Bold As Love 1968 OG US Reprise 6281 Mono GRAIL

Description: Selling my nice copy of the extremely rare US MONO version of Axis Bold as Love album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience issued in 1968. Mono was being phased out in the late 60s and only a very small number of the Axis Bold as Love albums were issued as a US pressing in the mono format. Most are promo versions, which are more more common than this two color reprise version. This MONO issue was released as a record club mail order, making it extremely scarce and hard to find. This is thought to be the rarest Hendrix album in existence and hasn't come to market in several years. I'm listing the condition VERY conservatively at VG. As to appearance, the vinyl retains a shine and gloss, and the grooves are sharp and clear. I grade it VG again because there are marks and lines and surface residue which could be cleaner with a professional cleaner. The vinyl plays great with some pop or ticks, that I think could be resolved with a nice sonic clean or professional record cleaner. The outer cover is in conservative VG condition with a split on the top cover seam approx 2-3". The colors and graphics are vibrant, front and back. The corners are sharp and square. Spine is pretty full, not the cover has some surface staining shelf wear and image loss. SEE PICTURES . The is a 2-3" top cover seam split.
