Description: Dear player: The world is your garden, and every iridescent beetle a glittering jewel waiting to be discovered. Hone your skills as an ametuer entomologist, scouring hidden meadows for the rarest, most dazzling specimens. Build your personal Jewel Box, a shimmering testament to your collecting prowess, and compete with fellow enthusiasts to showcase the most breathtaking, biodiverse collection in the land. In Jewel Box, players will be collecting and placing unique beetles from 5 different beetle families: Jewels, Longhorns, Scarabs, Ladybugs, and Weevils. Within each of the 5 families are 15 unique beetles with fun scientific information as well as where they're from. Each turn, players will roll the dice and take the corresponding beetle from the log. After collecting their beetle, they will place it in front of them. Each newly collected beetle must be placed adjacent to an already placed beetle in front of them, slowly forming a 4x4 grid (their personal Jewel Box). Each beetle scores points in a unique way depending on how/where it's placed in a player's Jewel Box. Each player also has a few tools that allow them to bend the rules, but are also bonus points if not used by the end of the game. After all players have collected 16 beetles, the game and points are counted up. Jewel Box can be played with up to 4 players, and also includes a solo variant which allows a player to attempt to become a master entomologist. Also included is a 2-player variant to play to a 5x5 grid. With games lasting 15-30 points, you'll be playing round after round without even realizing it.
