Description: This piece of art was bought by the owner's father in Asia when he was stationed in the Pacific during the Korean War, making it an estimated 70 years old. It is a 4 panel room divider, believed to be Japanese, approximately 36 inches tall by 66 inches wide when fully unfolded, covered on both sides with silk needlepoint art. Each side consisted of a single scene covering all 4 visible panels. It was on display from the father's return from the war until it was packed away in the late 90's. It has been kept securely stored away from pests, weather, and temperature extremes. There are minor scuffs and scratches on the frame, as well as some dust on the wood and the silk.
