JABO Leo Marble: Blue Aventurine

Description: JABO Leo Marble RunBlue Aventurine MINT Run Date: 8/8/12 This JABO Leo run is a lesser known but interesting run done by the JABO team. This run was done to celebrate Josh Argabrite's birthday. Josh is Joanne Argabrite's son (Joanne was owner of JABO at one point in the history). Josh's zodiac sign is Leo, so there you have it. The marble has a couple of beautiful swirls of blue aventurine that sparkles nicely in ambient light and then kind of explodes in sunlight or with a flashlight. The other colors are very complimentary in a Superman sort of way. By the way, the official colors of Superman are medium Persian blue, canary yellow and cadmium red. The white base glass gives this marble a light and airy feeling. Another tidbit of trivia: Red and yellow are the only two colors featured in the Superman logo. Both the colors represent dominance and dignity of the character. Red and yellow are the hues of ROA (the red sun of Superman's planet, Krypton) and SOL (name of the sun and also regarded as sunlight)...but I digress... :-) I try to rotate my marbles and provide high resolution pictures with my DSLR camera and flash. This Leo marble was made on the 3/4" machine and this particular marble measures 0.719" in diameter. Note: I found that only about 10% of the Leo marbles had this blue aventurine. The others would simply have solid royal blue or baby blue (without aventurine).
