Description: J. Pouyat Limoges France J. Mc D&S Co. Boston 10 Dinner These pieces were made in Limoges, France for Boston retailer J Mc D&S Co. They are fine quality porcelain. The JP over L markings were used until 1932. The floral wreath marking shows that this set was hand painted at the Pouyat factory rather than sold undecorated. This adds greatly to the value of a piece. Each plate I edged in gold and painted with leaves and oranges. The leaves are primarily green with gold ones interspersed. These plates are in very good to excellent condition. There is minimal gold loss. There are no cutlery marks. I’ve included photos of both sides of each plate. Let me know if you need more pics.
