Description: Pictured is a extra large brown Albany slip glazed Presentation bean pot offered for sale. The early thrown pot is incised in script "J. F. Downing" & is highlighted with two "feathered" horizontal bands. The glazing is a rich, vibrant milk chocolate coloration with great eye-appeal. It measures 6 1/2" in height, 6" in base diameter, & dates from 1880 - 1895. The condition is good with no nicks, chips or repairs whatsoever. There are four hairlines, two on each side which run from rim to the shoulder, 3", 3", 3 1/2", and 2" in length. There is also a faint spider hairline seen on the underside only.
