Description: Imperial German, WW 1 Great War, RARE ( 1902-1918 ) Navy Officers Dress Brocade Belt with hangers for Naval Dagger & Buckle Germany had a very small Navy prior to Tirpitz taking the helm of the Imperial Navy it was an extremely small part of the German military. This is a Very Rare Belt & Buckle. The Officer's Visor Cap pictured is NOT INCLUDED. Brocade belts typically have felt liners as this one and this belt is soiled ( it is way over 100 years old ). This belt is for a waist no greater than 36”. Brocade Dress Belts are quite rare as they were only used in ceremonial occasions. Imperial Germany was a federation of twenty-seven kingdoms, duchies, principalities and "free and imperial cities". By far the largest of these components was Prussia, whose King also bore the title of German emperor. I have another listed separately with a silk liner which indicates the owner was royalty. I also have 2 of these in absolute mint condition with their storage boxes also listed separately. Check out my other listings for an assortment of Imperial German and Great War (WW1) items.
