Description: This is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1976. It was made in Japan by FujiGen.The 2618 features an carved maple top with cream binding on a double-cutaway mahogany body mated to a set-in laminated maple neck with a 24-fret fingerboard with binding and dot position markers. Components include a pair of non original ( what looks like ) Bill Lawrence blade humbucking pickups mounted in cream pickup rings with individual volume and tone controls and a 3 way toggle, a Tune-O-Matic style bridge and stop tailpiece. Extensive changes were introduced for 1977 including the new Gibraltar bridge with sustain block embedded in the body and the slotted Gibraltar tailpiece with scalloped “cloud” ornament, and a bone nut. For 1978 the knobs were Sure Grip knobs with rubber grip insert. The guitar is in excellent playing condition and shown normal signs of cosmetic wear for a guitar of this age. Please refer to the detailed photos. The frets show normal minor signs of wear but she plays clean and there is tons of life left in them. Ships in a gig bag.
