The front and back is hand embroidered with Roosters and geometric patterns on a Black medium weight cotton fabric and turquoise butterfly sleeves made of rayon... There is some handwoven trim around the bottom of this blouse that was woven on a backstrap loom. This piece was made by a family of three who specialize making different parts of the top. The son, Eder Juliezes Jimenez Gallegos draws the designs, his mother Genoveva Gallegos Lopez does the embroidery and his grandmother, Anastasia Mendoza Lopez wove the trim around the bottom.This Huipil measures; 19 inches across (total 38 inches around) and 25 inches Long and will fit a Small size woman.
