There are reviews and positive comments in the Yahoo KLX650 group, the Concours Owners Group forum, the Kawasaki motorcycle forum, the unofficial Kawasaki forum, the Superhawk forum, and the Motorcycles forum. It is a bolt in replacement. The alloy body is 6061T aluminum with zinc coated hardware for corrosion resistance. The new fasteners are countersunk allen heads to make a clean installation that allows unimpeded access to the lock nut. There is a high temperature tolerant Viton O-ring seal under the lock nut to stop any oil from oozing out around the threads. The kit also includes a gasket, instructions, and a couple of decent quality stickers for the bike, the tool box, or whatever. The external adjuster bolt set up uses an acorn nut and jam nut for a clean look and to allow the bolt to be shortened or the oil seal O-ring to be replaced. All you need are the tools, the gasket goop (I used Hondabond), and the ability to follow the simple instructions included with the tensioner. NOTE: Some countries will add a Value Added Tax or similar tax, be aware of this.On rare occasions it may take up to 10 days for me to get product shipped. I make these tensioners on a regular basis and usually have them in stock. The parts are usually shipped from 2-5 days from order, but on some occasions it may take longer. My materials suppliers and I are now constantly monitoring machine lead time to keep my supply constant. In addition I do have a home to take care of, go riding or to races and such, since this is a one man operation as a sideline to teaching industrial technology. Contact me for emergency situations, at times with notification I may be able to ship overnight.Tracking is available on shipments, but is roughly $60 extra. I have not had any parts lost by the USPS. A few packages have been held up by customs in some countries (less than 1%), but to my experience all eventually make it through. Here are a few comments from buyers: Well I have an {XXX tensioner} for my CBR600 and the build quality of the Krieger tensioner is far better regardless of price. Also the instructions were top notch, and the {XXX} had none. Every angle I look at it shows your tensioner being superior. – Trevor I received the tensioner today and installed it right away, and I’m very happy with how it works I will spread the word on the KLR forums. – Clark Well, the tensioner was affordable and well made. I think the machining was done very professionally. I liked the small O-ring behind the lock nut. The fit was perfect and instructions that came with the tensioner were very useful. I removed the old, stock tensioner, installed the new tensioner, followed the instructions for setting the tension with the bolt and tightening the lock nut which was all a breeze. I needed to loosen the clamps on the rubber adapters and move the carbs out of the way a little bit, but that was not a problem. Starting the bike after I installed the tensioner was like having a different bike. It quieted significantly! There was no chain noise anymore! It was like a different engine running! I am happy with the part and how it functioned so far. Keep up the good work. – Vlad Put the tensioner in yesterday and made a huge difference in the noise, I didn't know how bad the chain slap was. The only thing I might do is cut the adjuster (bolt) off shorter to make it a cleaner look. – Clark … the tensioner is doing its job perfectly. I could tell as soon as I got it that it was quality craftsmanship. I made the most recent adjustment at 26,000 miles, just a hair of a turn clockwise. I really notice a difference when closing the throttle at high rpms. The noise is much quieter and it sounds much smoother. It's good to know that my valves are properly timed! Thanks again for making a part that was virtually impossible to find elsewhere. I'll spread the word about your website and thanks for the stickers! – Nick I finally got around to putting on the tensioner on Sunday. Wow, those are some complete directions. As long as you know which end of the screwdriver to hold on to, anyone can install it correctly with those directions. Thanks. – Tom I think you get the idea… The tensioner bolt varies in length for some, because some have a shorter depth to reach the tensioner shoe, which means the adjuster bolt will extend out slightly further. Or you can contact me if you have a different model and I can make one with a shorter bolt. I have tensioners for numerous Kawasakimodels. Visit my site to see a list of bikes that use the tensioners I presently make. I am willing to custom make a tensioner if at all possible for the same cost, which I have done for a 2002 Z7S and a 2009 RMz450. Feel free to contact me through ebay. Shipping is by USPS Priority flat. Payment is made through PayPal. Within the U.S. other arrangements can be made for mail in payment by contacting me. classid="clsid:38481807-CA0E-42D2-BF39-B33AF135CC4D" id=ieooui> >
