Flexibility of design minimizes unnecessary engine idling.The complete Engine Idle Limiter Shutdown System consists of three components and a connecting harness. The three components are as follows:The Engine Idle Limiter Module, also known as the Electronic Control Module (ECM) is processor controlled and temperature stable, with temperature control. With the temperature control option, we include an Outside Temperature Sensor, which disallows engine shutdown when the outside air temperatures are below 45°F, or above 80°F for driver comfort. Different temperature ranges are available upon request. The system also includes a Brake Pressure Switch, Normally Closed.The Engine Idle Limiter is popular with automotive, trucking and bussing markets because it works on both gas and diesel engines, stops fuel waste, and extends the life of your engine by reducing rpm count by millions per year.
