Description: Scotty's Sled Shed Replacement Probe Modification Kit for Heathkit T-3 Visual Signal Tracers. Replacement Probe and modification Kit for a DIY install for the Heathkit T-3 Signal tracers. If you picked up one of these awesome signal tracers at a swap or marketplace and did not receive the elusive original probe, then this kit is for you! No more making pill bottle probes or cutting down copper tubing. The great part about Heathkit was it was a Kit! So instead of making probes for you, I created a DIY kit so you can enjoy a time once past of kit building. Convert the old Switch Craft connector for the RF Probe, to the 1/4" phono jack. Make a new probe for the RF and the Audio side of the T-3. Also includes a second 1/4" female phono jack if you want to replace the original Audio 1/4" port. This kit allows you to expand the use of the Signal Tracer. When not using mine to troubleshoot, I use it as a computer speaker, guitar amplifier (for guitar tune-ups), connecting the RF probe to a wire antenna to demodulate AM broadcast stations, and more! This also makes a cleaner bench when you can unplug your probe. The original probe was a big unit that only worked for the RF side, and you had to supply your own Audio probe. Now you can make a probe for each with a more modern probe lead. RG174 shielded coax from the jack to the probe. 18AWG leads for ground clip with 15" to allow you full flexibility for tracing and sniffing out issues in your project. I reserve the right to substitute components. So if you get a 1 watt 330k ohm and the pic shows a 1/2 watt, please understand I have to navigate supply chain issues as well. Sometimes 1/2 watts are out of stock and/or a 1 watt is cheaper. Or the blues ones are out of stock and I have to get black ones. These parts are aftermarket. NOT OEM. I expect you to either know how to read resistor codes and/or use an ohm meter to validate you did install the 3.3M ohm resistor instead of the 330 ohm resistor.
