Description: Add a touch of oceanic charm to your home with this night light with a hand-carved conch sea shell light lamp shade on a wood base. The intricate design features a volcano in the background, houses to the left and sail boats in the foreground. Measuring 8 1/2" tall and about 5" in diameter this lamp shade is perfect for adding a cozy ambiance to any room. It was made in Italy somewhere between 1950 and 1965. It works as can be seen in the pictures. The light bulb socket seemed a little bit oversized for the small nightlight bulb that I tested it with. The cord has been spliced, as can also be seen in the pictures. There is no on/off switch. This might be a nice rainy weekend project to install an on/off thumb switch, which can be purchased for a few dollars at any hardware store, where the splice is. I am selling it at a very low price compared to the others listed on eBay. If you are interested please examine all of the pictures.
