Description: Maker: It's indisputable: Limoges says quality. And T&V - Tressemann and Vogt - produced some of the world's finest and most beautiful Limoges porcelain. Marks and age: This elegant serving bowl has two marks: the green underglaze "Limoges France" white mark number 7, which was in use from 1892 to 1907, and the T&V magenta bell decorator's mark number 16 that was in use between 1907 and 1919. Source: The Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston, third edition. Because the marks overlap only in 1907, that's very likely the year this bowl was produced. Design: The pattern - number 7219 - features delicate pink roses, scrollwork and a thin geometric band against a background of fine pure white porcelain trimmed in gold. Condition: The bowl is in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, crazing or repairs. There is wear to the edge - it's visible in the photos. Size: The bowl is 8 inches wide at the center, 9 1/2 inches wide between the far ends of the handles and 2 3/4 inches tall. It weighs 1 pound 3 ounces. Please check all the photos very carefully – they are an important part of the description.
