Description: Glass Whirls Too - an original 3-dimensional stained glass concept from Deborah Aubin. This pattern book includes colour considerations, and a Hints and Tips section on cutting the rings, grinding, foiling, soldering, unsoldering, cleaning and assembly; instructions for the item jig, ring jig and ring assembly; patterns for sailboats and a schooner, a lighthouse, fish, porpoises and whales, and birds. Deborah Aubin started with stained glass in 1977 in Ottawa, Canada. In 1982 she opened her first stained glass studio, working from original designs and experimenting with the medium of glass. She taught courses for Georgian College in Barrie and was an instructor with Artsperience at Canadore College in North Bay. Her skills advanced working with David Morgan, a noted Canadian designer of church windows, by taking art courses, and studying at Studio du Verre in Montreal. Glass Whirls Too is the second of three glass whirl pattern books Deborah published from her Glass Whirled studio which started in Sundridge and later moved to Blackstock. The first book, Glass Whirls, focuses on butterflies, hummingbirds and chickadees, while Glass Whirls Potpourri includes a variety of patterns such as a horse carousel, clowns, nature and hot air balloons.
