This is the same great 3D conversion as the standard Gammera 3D blu-ray but now converted to high frame rate using the 720P/60fps 3D blu-ray standard. This isn't just 24fps packed into a 60fps video, the entire movie has been rendered to 60fps using AI powered software. Please note that high frame rate is *NOT* the same experience as watching a film at 24fps! If you hate the "smooth motion" effect that TVs offer then this is probably not for you. This is a bit of an experimental release and is meant to complement, not replace the previous Gammera 3D release. This disc features both digital frame packed 3D and red/blue anaglyph 3D presentations. Viewing the digital 3D version requires a 3D television or projector, a 3D blu-ray player and compatible glasses. The anaglyph 3D presentation can be viewed with a standard BD player on a 2D television (anaglyph glasses required but are not included). The Movie: This is a 60s Kaiju classic unleashed to compete with Godzilla for the hearts, minds and dollars of giant monster fans. Fans of giant monsters, not giant monsters that are fans.. The movie centers on Gammera, a giant prehistoric turtle (yes, turtle) awakened by a nuclear explosion. He (she? no one actually checks..) unleashes unstoppable destruction upon the world, forcing nations to come together to save modern civilization from this new existential threat.
