Description: Up for Auction is a Galaxy DX 88HL Radio, This Radio looks great just look at the pictures. The radio was tuned and receive was upgraded with Shockley Diodes all work was done by a well known tech in my area. On AM low power keying 1 1/2 watt will swing 15 or more on watt meter. On High it will dead key 6 watts and swing around 20 watts, this was all done on a none amp mic. The Freq-counter takes about 25-30 seconds to warm up then it will stop jumping around and work perfect, it has done this ever since I have owned it. The radio comes with Mic, power cord but know bracket or knobs. The Galaxy DX 88HL has always been used as a Base Radio. There is a switch in the back and inside the radio you will see a loose wire I believe it was hooked up for talk back. I never messed with it because I didn't need talkback in the radio. This radio is being sold as parts none working because of scammers an comes with no warranty of any kind or return. I have had this radio for years and talked all over with it and had no problems with it. Also, there is a new led bulb in the meter
