The Blue Denmark Pattern was introduced into the U.K. by Furnivals, a Staffordshire Pottery Company, in the 1850's. The famous Furnivals Ltd. Viking Ship mark was used up to 1968. The brand was purchased by Enoch Wedgewoods (Tunstall, Ltd.) and subsequently acquired by Josiah Wedgewoods & Sons in the 1980's.
