Description: This new Special Edition 1989 United States Committee for UNICEF Barbie Doll by Mattel (#4774) was never removed from box. This 11 1/2 inch doll features what appears to be a Hispanic woman with black, wavy hair and brown eyes. The doll comes in its original unopened packaging and cones with a long gown, sash, sparkly jewelry, gloves, shoes, poster and doll stand. The Barbie doll supported the U.S. Committee for UNICEF, which stands for United Nations Children's Fund and was created at the first session of the United Nations to help bring "food to the hungry, medicine to the sick, and clean water to children who are thirsty." The poster inside is called "The Rights of The Child." The box is crushed from storage, edges are worn, a piece of tape is severed, and there are marks and a store sticker. It was inherited from the estate of a family member who collected dolls. Money will go toward medical bills, so it's sold as-is.
