Special lots prepared for Match use were made in 1916 and 1919, then the Ordnance Dept. directed that future Match ammunition would be supplied from selected service lots. Those rounds were sometimes repacked as Match ammunition, other times they were left in the original cartons. In 1930, Western Cartridge Co. supplied Cal. .45 Match ammunition after beating Frankford Arsenal in competitive tests, but that was the sole exception to Frankford Arsenal's supplying Cal. .45 Match rounds from 1915 until 1939 when the Matches were suspended by WWII.Each "Buy It Now" single purchase is for 2 unassembled cartons with dividers and labels. The cartons, dividers and labels will be shipped flat, with assembly instructions.
