Description: INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:? The shipping rates shown are for '1st Class International Package' with tracking.? Ebay is also promoting their EIS International Shipping program on sellers pages. I do not use this program because it is more expensive, slower, not very transparent, and frustrating to the buyer, if something goes wrong. Do not select it, if ebay does show it as an option. Thank you. LEGEND: THE PEOPLE OF SAONE-ET-LOIRE, and of its towns of Autonois, Maconnais, Chalonnais and Charolais, have kept many of their traditions and customs intact. The costume of the women of Maconnais, for example, has hardly been altered by modem infuences, the old-style hood being still worn. It can take two forms: sometimes it is decorated with lace in the shape of a fan; sometimes it is draped with a huge veil in the manner of Bresse. Jewelry is a feature of women's costume, recalling the days of Spanish rule. (bottom row) : Fig. 9 A woman from the Bourbonnais region, wearing the traditional headdress called the bourbon nichonne. Her pink silk dress has a small silk jacket whose sleeves are decorated with armbands of embroidered white silk. 11 & 13 Traditional costumes from the Bourg region.
