Description: LONG WAVE and SHORT WAVE UV Fascinating patch of various micro sized minerals some which fluoresce on this other wise mostly colorless with purple Fluorite specimen. With my 10x loupe I can see Galena and clear terminated Quartz crystals for certain, but tough to figure out the rest, a microscope would be best to see these tiny minerals. The specimen fluoresces mostly blue under long wave UV but there is some orange and teal as well, the teal fluorescence is in the spot of all the micro minerals. Under short wave (pic #3) the teal color is also seen and a scattering of white fluorescing minerals. From the Annabele Lee Mine, Hardin County, Illinois. 28 grams. 1-3/4" length NOTE! The ultraviolet photos above were taken with a 365nm Convoy S2 LED light. See my store if you need one. I do combine shipping, so please request an invoice before paying.
