Very limited,15" x 11". Flaming Lips tracks recorded at the Milestone Club, Charlotte, NC on 9/11/87. This is the original release. All tracks unreleased at time of issue. The tracks ended up on the Restless Records CD compilation A Collection of Songs Representing an Enthusiasm for Recording...By Amateurs, 1984-1990. According to Disc**s: "Thank You" contains a minute long intro that has been edited from the Restless Records release of the song." A reviewer noted: "(The tracks) were recorded on a portable Nakamichi stereo cassette deck at the Milestone Club in Charlotte, NC, on 9/11/87 and were the final two encore songs of the evening performed immediately prior to the power blowing out at the venue."Flexis are the same size as 45 RPM records except they are pressed on thin floppy vinyl and play at 33 RPM. Expect minor warping - this is normal from the factory. Here's a tip: play the flexi on top of an LP and place a quarter on the flexi. We are the publishers - this issue is new. Long out of print. Flexi tracks were unreleased at time of printing. Check out our other Flaming Lips listing with flexi (the Lips do a David Bowie cover of "Life on Mars"). Condition: Magazine and Flexi are new and unused. There is no staple hole through the flexi - this is how it was attached on retail copies. Although the magazine may have a staple hole. Expect yellowing to the magazine due to the age of the newsprint. Note that the covers were printed poorly - the ink on the bottom third becomes much lighter. We accepted this because the flexis cover this area on retail copies. This issue had a large page count and I think the printer struggled with the printing. Release Date: 1988 Shipping: Ground Advantage. Flexi will be well protected with cardboard. Magazine will be folded. Catalog of Back Issues: Check out our other Ebay listings for many more issues. David Janssen Publishing is the publisher of The Bob Magazine featuring almost 60 issues of guitar oriented indie rock & roll. Many issues feature a flexi disc of unreleased material by bands like REM, Iggy Pop, Flaming Lips, Replacement, Robyn Hitchcock, Blur, Pixies and many, many more - over 90 tracks in all. Thanks!
