Description: M225 Detectable Underground Tapes are intended to offer above ground detection of buried utilities. We offer these in 5 APWA Uniform colors and in industry standard legends. All are 5 mil over-all thickness consisting of a durable 2 mil film laminated to a 3 mil foil. We stock industry standard 3 inch and 6 inch widths and 1000 foot rolls. When we first sourced this product we insisted on three things: quality, price and that all our underground tapes be printed with non-leaded inks. The purpose of underground tape is to prevent the next guy from hitting your installation and for him to know just what type of installation it is. And you want that to be true for decades. Lead degrades underground tapes and after only a few years all you get is black ribbon. But not with M225 and M226 Underground Tapes. Lay our underground tapes in the trenches and sleep well at night. Stocked in Blue for Water related lines, Yellow for Gas (always a good thing to know), Green for Sewer and Sanitary, Orange for Fiber Optic, Telephone and Communications and Red for Electrical.
