Description: On Consignment from a customer of Haywire Custom Guitars, Mark. The following is a note from Mark about the amp.1973 PRINCETON REVERB w/12” Weber SpeakerI Purchased this amp from Freedom Guitars, San Diego, in 2004, the amp arrived with the Heavier Baffle/12” Speaker already installed. The Weber FerroMax (Ceramic w/an Alnico Plug), was a pleasant surprise! With a very Jensen-like, scooped-mids presentation, it’s perfect for Fender cleans! It’s a very efficient, full-range speaker, that presents a wide and robust soundscape! Pedal friendly, it provides warm, smooth breakup. To paraphrase the Weber, USA, website, “the 12F150 projects great Black panel tone, with cleaner punch; when overdriven, it is aggressive, punchy, and loud! After amp purchase it remains, in very good working, and cosmetic, condition, here, in my smoke-free studio. It has been fully maintained an serviced, thru the years, by my Tech at Garcia Electronics, Myrtle Beach. Installed recently is a hefty, heavy duty 3-prong power cord. This 51-year old amplifier is (currently) powered by a matched duet of 1950’s NOS RCA “Smoked Glass” 6V6 tubes (See Photos): Sweet cleans, creamy, when overdriven! This amp is very touch-sensitive, reacting, in real-time, to every nuance of your playing: the “cluck” of your Strat, the snap of your Tele, the smoky baritone of your dedicated Jazz Guitar! The Reverb is strong, and dimensional; the Tremolo sounds vintage and warm, as it should! An aftermarket Fender slipcover completes the outfit.********************************************************************** My ’73 P/REV has been babied, over the years: mostly church services, with the occasional Smooth Jazz gig. A great “Grab-and-Go” Amp ( 36 lbs.), it’s ideal for Coffee House type, lo-fi gigs! Last Spring, I played a 200-Seater nightclub, with my Sennheiser 906, and modest PA help! Why sell, you ask? Health issues have negatively impacted my musical career – but, My loss can be your gain! This VERY practical, versatile, VINTAGE amp is only going to increase in value. World-class tube tone at bedroom volume? All day long!Go out, and play a gig? You bet!THANKS FOR LOOKING!!
