Description: Description Fender Custom Shop 2024 Limited 1964 L-Series Stratocaster Heavy Relic (Aged Olympic White) [SN.L11524] In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Stratocaster in 2024, this limited edition model was created based on the popular 60s Stratocaster! This is a guitar based on the 1964 Stratocaster with a rosewood fingerboard! The 1965-shaped alder body is carefully selected by wood selection specialists exclusively for the custom shop. The neck material, which is carefully selected like the body, is rift-sawn maple, the fingerboard radius is a compound radius of 7.25R - 9.5R used in the Vintage Custom series, the frets are medium vintage size with narrow width and height, and the fingerboard material is round-laminated rosewood. The neck grip is a 63 Strat C shape measured from the vintage 1963 model. Compared to the general 60s Oval C shape, it is thicker and you can feel the thickness of the sides when you grip it, but it is basically a type of thin neck grip from the 60s. The body and neck finish is an all-lacquer finish like the vintage. The heavy relic finish shows irregular weather checking and extensive, severe paint peeling in places. The back of the neck has been largely peeled off from the 1st to 12th frets, and the texture of the wood provides a smooth playing feel. In addition, the remaining paint has been given a tanned amber finish with a clear coat. The hardware features a synchronized tremolo with PAT.PEND. engraved saddles, and the machine heads are vintage-type Kluson pegs. The raw sound of the custom shop, which goes beyond the line among Fenders, is characterized by the clarity of the bolt-on structure, and the airiness and thickness of the sound when output from the amp are truly on another level. Furthermore, the sound obtained by the relic finish is so good that you can fully experience the vibration of the body and neck just by playing one chord. The overwhelming raw sound is so comfortable that you can play it forever even without outputting it to an amp, and it is a quality that can only be experienced at a custom shop with a satisfying playing feel. All of the pickups that reproduce this wonderful sound are hand-wound. Compared to regular machine-wound pickups, the amp gives off an impression of richer overtones and an acoustic air. This model uses a Fat '64 Strat single coil (Alnico 5/enamel). The 1964 pickups, which are highly rated in the vintage market, have been custom-made with the Fat Series, and each position has a sound focused on the midrange, so even the bridge pickup alone can feel overtones like a mixed tone. The sound has the delicious luster and stiffness of an electric guitar, but with a slightly tighter attack, making it a versatile single coil that also reproduces the delicate nuances of your hands. The middle pickup is also reverse-wound and reverse-pole, so noise is reduced by the hum-canceling effect in the mixed position. The controls are Vintage Modified Strat #2. The volume is custom-made with a Bleed based on a high-pass capacitor that combines a ceramic capacitor and resistor, and the tone uses a Fender paper wax capacitor that matches each position. Bleed customization allows you to turn down the volume while maintaining the mid-high range, and the specs are useful for sound making as a gain control, such as lead tone at full volume, backing tone at around 70%, and clean/crunch at 50% or less. The tone capacitor has an overall tone balance by selecting the appropriate capacitor value for each position of the neck & middle tone and bridge tone, and the sound when the tone is cut is also attractive, and the tone is not too thin in the mid-range compared to a general high-pass capacitor. The serial number starts with "L", which is also the origin of the series name, and this is a guitar that reproduces the model of the time in every detail. Contrary to its dignified looks, this guitar has been customized with a modern ready-to-use specification, so don't miss it!
