Verified to be legitimate and from the WWII period. Condition is excellent. Blade is in good condition, tight in the hilt, and retains a large portion of bluing, with expected pull marking profile from the hand ground blade. Grip bluing is in fair condition, with the expected knurled profile and peened pommel of a second pattern knife. Overall an excellent addition to anyone's historical blade collection. Original "Get Tough" training manual, circa 1942 is included in the sale, in excellent condition. It has traveled with this knife through many hands. We are unsure if the book was issued with the knife, but from our inquiries it has been transferred with this knife through many decades and many owners, so it's possible.
