Eustoma grandiflorum is a herbaceous perennial in the Gentianaceae family. It is also known as Lisianthus, Prairie Gentian, and Texas Bluebell. A native to Mexico, Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado. It is also a biennial that will survive winters in Zones 8-10. It grows to 3" tall and 12" wide. Sometimes it grows on a single stem, and other times it's several stems. The flowers are 2" wide, with flaring purple petals. Great for cut flowers. The blue leaves are 5-8" long. It likes full sun and well-drained soils. These seeds are from the first picture. You may treat it as an annual outside its hardiness zone. It will take 5 weeks from planting until the first bloom.
