Description: This is an early copy of Engineering Mechanics of Deformable Bodies. It is a presumed first edition, as it is not stated in the title page. It is in good condition for its age. There is some wear on the cover, primarily on the spine. The spine also has some slight fading. The spine is tight and the pages are intact. The prior owner of this book was a student who eventually became an engineer at NASA. He worked on the Space Shuttle and on the International Space Station. He had an embossed stamp where he embossed all his books with his name and initials on the title page. He also used an ink stamp to stamp his name on the inside front/back cover and on the side pages of the book. He also did some highlighting and underlining. There's even some notes and test materials he left in the book. Please see pictures for details. If you like vintage engineering books please check out my store.
