Black has a small tip section missing where they accidently cut when cutting the patch. That's the reason for the discount. Elk Hock Hair is thinner and shorter than other Elk Hair and compresses easier under thread. It's excellent for smaller Elk Hair Caddis, Stimulators, Humpies, and similar patterns.
