This is an H.264 video encoder accelerator for older Macs.We used this when we had an older PPC Mac, but we do not have those around here anymore for testing. The device shows up as a USB vendor specific device, registered with Elgato Systems, so at least the unit powers up and runs. The device had a sticky mess on the outside, which was the remnants of a rubbery outside coating.That's been cleaned off and it's now a smooth, plastic shell without all the goo.
