Description: Egyptian Spinach Corchorus Olitorius25 Seeds AKA - Molokhia, Jute Mallow We LOVE Egyptian Spinach! But, so do the deer. 2021 is the first year our Egyptian Spinach crop was left to grow. We planted them higher on the property, near the drive in, and it seemed to keep the deer at bay. Our plants grew to 5 feet tall by 3 feet around and were full of seed pods! Egyptian Spinach or Molokhia loves the hot summer days and can stand quite a bit of drought. Sow seeds in a hot and sunny place in the start of spring. The plants grow quite fast and need lots of room! The flavor is wonderful and its very nutritious, but the leaves can be a bit slimy when chewed raw. Seed pods form like mini-okra and are commonly pickled. These seeds were harvested October 2024 Seed Starting Sow seeds 1/4"deep and keep moist Seedlings will emerge in 1-2 weeks Start seeds indoors in WinterDirect sow or Transplant in Spring Check out our store!
