Description: For those perhaps unaware, this Eduard Hanriot HD.1 kit was the first of six such kits issued by Eduard, starting in 1998. It is the simplest of the kits, since it does not come with a Profi-Pack, resin parts, or film. The main choice for selecting one of these six kits would seem to be the decals offered, e.g., the 1999 version has a decal sheet with Italian, Belgian, French, and American cockades/cocardes, while versions released in 2004, 2006, 2010, and 2020 all have Italian cockades and Squadriglia markings. This kit that I am offering here is the original 1998 kit in an opened box with sealed plastic parts and a decal sheet that includes markings for Belgian 37-victory ace Adjutant Willy Coppens (35 of them being observation balloons, as depicted on the box cover). The photos show the instruction sheet, which show the paint schemes and decal placement, as well as detailed steps. Other photos show the parts in the sealed bag still attached to their plastic sprues, the decal sheet and clear plastic windscreen, as well as all sides of the box. As shown on the instruction sheet, other than the cockpit interior with small parts, this kit is otherwise an easy build.
